Appendix K: Instructions for Use
The following are the steps to follow when using the Scissor Stopper.
Instructions
Initial Set Up
1. Follow the instructions for construction and mounting the device to the walker (Appendix J).

2. Walk as normal, placing the walker slightly forward each time you step, allowing the divider to prevent any scissoring of the legs (Figure 27, 28).

Adjusting the Height of the L-shaped Frame
3. To adjust the height of the divider, remove the head screws with wing nuts and replace in two positions along the aluminum rail with flange so the divider aligns with the height of the user’s knee, or any other desired height (Figure 29, 30).
